Everything you need to know about Prorated Plans

How does prorated billing work?

When a member signs up mid-month, the system automatically calculates their first payment based on the remaining days until your set billing date. For example, if someone joins on the 15th and you bill on the 1st, they only pay for half the month.

Can I choose which day everyone gets billed?

Absolutely. You can set your preferred billing day (like the 1st of every month), and all future billing cycles will align to that date, regardless of when members originally signed up.

What happens with appointment credits on prorated plans?

For plans that include appointment entitlements, credits are automatically prorated based on the remaining days in the billing period and rounded up to the nearest whole number, so members always get fair value.

Will this confuse my current members?

Not at all. Existing members continue on their current billing schedule unless they upgrade or change plans. Only new signups or plan changes use the prorated system.

How does this help with member retention?
