PushPressvs Wodify
Both run serious gyms, and on the review sites they land within a tenth of each other. But PushPress delivers transparent pricing, you own Stripe account your payments sit on, and what happens to your data if you ever leave. Ours starts at $0.

The 60-second answer

How do I switch from Wodify to PushPress?
The process takes about two weeks for Core and a month for Core + Grow. The biggest variable is when you want to start billing.
Payments switch over
Stripe to Stripe, so this is faster leaving Wodify than almost any other platform. You end up on your own Stripe account.
Set up plans, classes and coaches
Membership plans, the class schedule, coach and staff accounts. You build your own plans here rather than picking from a fixed set, so your pricing and your rules end up matching how you actually run the gym.
Your members move over
You export from Wodify, we import. Members, contacts, memberships and attendance all go through the 3-step tool. You get a named onboarding lead, not a ticket queue.
Members download the app
One announcement, one link. Class bookings, memberships and payment schedules carry over, so nobody loses their spot in tomorrow's 6am.
What carries over, and what doesn't
The honest version. Three things genuinely don't make the trip, and they're listed here rather than buried in an onboarding call.
Is PushPress cheaper than Wodify?
Depends on your size, and it's genuinely hard to answer, because two of Wodify's three tiers have no public price.
Here is everything both companies publish, side by side.
2.89% + $0.30 on Pro
2.75% + $0.30 on Max
“As low as 2.6% + 25¢” in their FAQ
Two figures, no tier stated
If you pass a fee to your members, you keep it
Plenty of gyms pass some or all of their card cost on to members. On PushPress you set that number yourself, up to 10%, and every cent of it comes back to you. Put it toward the scholarship fund, new rowers, or just the cost of running payments.
Worth asking any platform you are evaluating the same question: if I pass a fee to my members, who actually keeps it?
How Flex Fees worksHow we compare: key differences
| PushPress | Wodify | |
|---|---|---|
| Whose Stripe account | Yours. You see the real rate and keep chargeback protection. | Sub-account under Wodify's |
| Payment data portability | Card tokens leave with you | Tied to their Stripe account |
| Pricing transparency | Three plans, three card rates, two ACH rates and every add-on, all published | One promotional tier published. Two tiers and seven add-ons require a demo. |
| Free tier | Core Free, no time limit | None |
| Workout tracking | Train Lite is included in Core. Full workout programming and tracking is unlocked for $79. | Add-on, price not published |
| ACH processing | 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max | As low as 1.5% + 30 cents |
| Card processing | 2.75% to 4.99% + $0.30 by plan | One "as low as" figure, quoted two ways: 2.7% + 30¢ on their pricing page, 2.6% + 25¢ in their FAQ. No plan attached to either. |
| Member self-service | Members book, waitlist and cancel classes, update a payment method, freeze or cancel a plan, add a family member, check attendance history, and check out of your store in kiosk mode on the same tablet they check in on. | Self-service kiosk checkout for retail. For membership changes, their help center tells members to "reach out to the business directly" to cancel or place a hold. |
| Membership plan flexibility | Owners build their own plan structures | Customizable membership structures |
| Priority booking, based on membership tier | Supported | Not supported |
| 1-to-1 and PT programming | Train delivers individual client programming, a $79/mo add-on to Core | Markets Individualized and Small Group Training as a core solution, with no separate price listed |
| How it's packaged | Core, Grow, and the Staff App are each their own product, and each stands on its own. The Staff App is included with every Core plan at no extra cost, with no per-user or per-coach fee. Grow is a $329/mo add-on. All of them sync to each other. | One platform, with CRM unlocking on a higher tier. Fewer things to buy, which can be an advantage to some gym owners. |
| Staff tools on the floor | A dedicated Staff App, included with every Core plan at no extra cost and no per-user or per-coach fee. Check members in one at a time or in bulk, pull daily rosters, see member notes and injury flags before class, adjust memberships, sell retail with Tap to Pay, run kiosk mode, and message the team in-app so coaches, owners and admins reach each other without a third-party tool. | Coach View in their member app covers in-class work: signing athletes in, rosters, scoring. Broader admin runs through Core in a mobile browser. Their Coach View documentation doesn't cover staff-to-staff messaging or retail sales. |
| Whiteboard coach view | Member-side calculator | Hover for inline PR history, percentages and charts. Wodify wins this. |
| Marketing and CRM | Grow, $329/mo add-on | Wodify users can unlock marketing tools starting at the middle tier (Accelerate). |
| Ease of use, G2 | 9.3 | 8.8 |
| Quality of support, G2 | 9.5 | 9.5, tied |
PushPress vs Wodify: what reviewers say
Close scores across the board. Wodify is a well-liked product, and the honest gap is small.
So which one should you actually pick?
If you've read this far, you already know we're not a neutral party. So here's the version we'd give you on the phone.
Wodify is a good product. Buying one platform is simpler than assembling a few pieces, their whiteboard tools go deeper than ours, and their card processing floor sits a hair under our mid tier. Gyms that love Wodify usually love it for exactly those reasons. We don't win many of those conversations, and we shouldn't.
We win when the money stops making sense. When you can't find out what the next tier costs without booking a call. When you go to leave and discover the card data your members entered was never really yours. That's the gym we're built for.
And if none of that sounds like your gym, stay where you are. Switching costs real hours. It should fix something specific.
