PushPressvs Wodify

What's actually different, and what each one costs

Both run serious gyms, and on the review sites they land within a tenth of each other. But PushPress delivers transparent pricing, you own  Stripe account your payments sit on, and what happens to your data if you ever leave. Ours starts at $0.

Gym Management Platform Software by PushPress

The 60-second answer

Two honest paths, whether you're choosing your first platform or leaving one. Find yours and skip the rest of the page.

Choose PushPress

If any of these sound like your gym

You want to own your payments. Your own Stripe account, the real rate visible, chargeback protection, and card tokens that leave with you if you ever go.
You're tired of quotes. Every plan and processing rate is published. Nothing behind a demo.
Your members pay by ACH. 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max, against their 1.5% + 30 cents. That's significant savings that compounds.
You want your front desk coaching, not processing requests. Members freeze or cancel a plan, update a card, add a family member, and check themselves out of your store on the same tablet they check in on. The admin that usually walks up to the desk happens in the app instead.
Choose Wodify

If any of these sound like your gym

You'd rather buy one thing than three. Their CRM unlocks on a higher plan tier, so it's one purchase. Ours are separate, robust products, but they sync together as one.
Card processing is your biggest line item. Their one published figure is 2.7% + 30¢, which sits under our Pro rate of 2.89% and about level with our Max at 2.75%. It's an "as low as" with no plan attached, so get their real quote before you decide.
Your coaches live in the whiteboard. Hovering a name for inline PR history and percentages is a real habit, and ours works differently.
And if you're already running one of them happily, stay put. Migration costs real hours no matter who you move to. A switch should fix something specific.

How do I switch from Wodify to PushPress?

The process takes about two weeks for Core and a month for Core + Grow. The biggest variable is when you want to start billing.

What IMPACTS the timeline
Two things actually move the number. The first is how quickly you can make the calls on your own plans and pricing. The second is your own billing date: if your account is ready on the 5th but you'd rather not charge members until the 1st, that's three or four weeks of calendar you chose, not delay. Tell us the date you want to bill on and we'll work back from it.
01
Days 1–3

Payments switch over

Stripe to Stripe, so this is faster leaving Wodify than almost any other platform. You end up on your own Stripe account.

02
Days 4–10

Set up plans, classes and coaches

Membership plans, the class schedule, coach and staff accounts. You build your own plans here rather than picking from a fixed set, so your pricing and your rules end up matching how you actually run the gym.

03
Days 11–14

Your members move over

You export from Wodify, we import. Members, contacts, memberships and attendance all go through the 3-step tool. You get a named onboarding lead, not a ticket queue.

04
Go live

Members download the app

One announcement, one link. Class bookings, memberships and payment schedules carry over, so nobody loses their spot in tomorrow's 6am.

What carries over, and what doesn't

The honest version. Three things genuinely don't make the trip, and they're listed here rather than buried in an onboarding call.

The one that matters most

Your card tokens are yours

On PushPress you have your own Stripe account. Your name on it, your real rates visible, your chargeback protection. On Wodify you're a sub-account under Wodify's Stripe, which is why fees are harder to see and why leaving is harder. Because it's Stripe to Stripe, coming here is easier than most switches. And if you ever leave us, the tokens go with you. Ask whoever you're evaluating whose Stripe account you'd actually be on.

Is PushPress cheaper than Wodify?

Depends on your size, and it's genuinely hard to answer, because two of Wodify's three tiers have no public price.

If you pass a fee to your members, you keep it

Plenty of gyms pass some or all of their card cost on to members. On PushPress you set that number yourself, up to 10%, and every cent of it comes back to you. Put it toward the scholarship fund, new rowers, or just the cost of running payments.

Worth asking any platform you are evaluating the same question: if I pass a fee to my members, who actually keeps it?

Where it's genuinely close: card processing. Wodify publishes one figure and quotes it two ways, 2.7% + 30¢ on their pricing page and 2.6% + 25¢ in their FAQ, with no plan attached to either. That floor sits just under our Pro rate of 2.89% and roughly level with our Max at 2.75%. On ACH we are not close: 0.79% on Pro and Max against their 1.5%. If most of your billing runs on cards, ask them for an actual number rather than a floor.

Our honest read

So which one should you actually pick?

If you've read this far, you already know we're not a neutral party. So here's the version we'd give you on the phone.

Wodify is a good product. Buying one platform is simpler than assembling a few pieces, their whiteboard tools go deeper than ours, and their card processing floor sits a hair under our mid tier. Gyms that love Wodify usually love it for exactly those reasons. We don't win many of those conversations, and we shouldn't.

We win when the money stops making sense. When you can't find out what the next tier costs without booking a call. When you go to leave and discover the card data your members entered was never really yours. That's the gym we're built for.

And if none of that sounds like your gym, stay where you are. Switching costs real hours. It should fix something specific.

This is a PushPress page, so weigh it accordingly. Every claim about Wodify here comes from their public pricing page, their published documentation, and their customer reviews on G2 and Capterra. All of it is linked, and all of it is dated.
“The numbers don’t lie. It all would have been impossible with Wodify. I wouldn’t have been able to make that switch (to a flourishing business) without PushPress.”
CrossFit Arioch
after increasing his membership base, LEG (length of engagement) and overall revenue since switching to PushPress
“We moved from Wodify and have had a much better customer experience on PushPress… It has helped automate a lot of work that was very time consuming and the system does it more efficiently than we ever did manually.”

Questions about switching from Wodify?

Is PushPress cheaper than Wodify?

Depends on your size, and it is hard to answer precisely because two of Wodify's three tiers are not published. What is comparable: PushPress starts at $0 against their promotional $99, workout tracking is included with us and an unpriced add-on with them, and our ACH rate on Pro and Max is 0.79% against their 1.5%. On cards they publish a single "as low as" figure with no plan attached, and it lands between our Max and Pro rates.

How much does Wodify cost per month?

Their Essentials tier shows $99 per month per location, as a promotional rate against a $199 list price. Accelerate and Ultimate pricing is not published, so you book a demo to find out. Seven add-ons, including performance tracking and websites, are listed on their pricing page without prices. Verified August 31, 2026.

Whose Stripe account am I on with PushPress?

Your own. Your name on the account, your real rates visible, your chargeback protection. On Wodify you are a sub-account under Wodify's Stripe, which is why fees are harder to see and why leaving is harder.

Can I take my payment data with me if I leave PushPress?

Yes. We run on Stripe and your card tokens are yours. We would rather you stay because the product works than because leaving is painful.

Will my members lose their PR history if we switch off Wodify?

No, but it isn't automatic, so plan for it. Your team requests a combined performance results file from Wodify's support team and exports your client list from Wodify Core under People, then Clients. Each member signs in at train.pushpress.com, opens My Workout History, clicks Import Scores and uploads their CSV. It takes about thirty seconds. Two things to get right: imports are CSV only, so anything that arrives as an Excel file needs converting first, and benchmarks have to be linked properly before upload or the records won't display against the right movement. Only the first fifty results show at first — the rest are there, you search for them. If somebody's 2017 Murph time matters to them, it should matter to us before you sign anything.

How long does it take to switch from Wodify to PushPress?

About two weeks for Core at a gym with 50 to 200 members and an owner who's ready to move. Full stack is closer to a month. Because payments are Stripe to Stripe, coming from Wodify is faster than most switches. The two things that genuinely move the timeline are how fast you can make decisions on plans and pricing, and when you want to start billing. If your account is ready on the 5th but you'd rather not charge members until the 1st, that adds three or four weeks by choice rather than by delay. Tell us your billing date and the rest works back from it.

Does Wodify require a long-term contract?

No. Wodify's plans are month to month at every tier, same as ours. If you have heard otherwise, it is out of date.

Is Wodify better than PushPress for CrossFit gyms?

For the whiteboard and performance tracking, Wodify's tools are deep and their coach view is genuinely good. For everything around the workout, billing, retention and keeping admin off your desk, most of our CrossFit customers came to us from platforms that did the workout part well and the business part badly.

Which is easier to use, PushPress or Wodify?

On G2, PushPress rates 9.3 for ease of use and 9.1 for ease of setup, against Wodify's 8.8 and 8.9. Both are well rated and the gap is small. The other difference is packaging: their CRM unlocks on a higher plan tier, while Grow is a separate product with its own bill. Our Staff App is included with every Core plan at no extra cost. Fewer purchases is Wodify's advantage. Ours is that each piece is built and maintained as its own product rather than a tier unlock.

Can PushPress handle martial arts belt and rank tracking?

Yes, it is built in, and it is a common reason martial arts academies come to us. Worth saying plainly: Wodify shipped belt tracking too, so compare the two on how they actually work for your curriculum rather than on whether the feature exists.
