The Free Workout Timer for Every Training Style
Pick your format, hit start, and go. The PushPress Workout Timer runs AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata, interval, countdown, and stopwatch modes right on this page. Cast it to the TV for class, or grab the app to take it anywhere.
What is a workout timer?
A workout timer is a tool that structures a training session into timed work and rest periods so you can train at the right intensity without watching a clock. Instead of guessing, you set a format — like 20 minutes AMRAP or eight rounds of Tabata — and the timer counts the intervals, signals each transition with an audio cue, and tracks your rounds. Coaches use them to keep a whole class in sync; individuals use them to hold pace and stay honest on rest
The right timer depends on the workout. Below are the four formats that cover almost every functional-fitness, CrossFit, HIIT, and bootcamp session — each with its own dedicated timer.
Got questions? We’ve got answers.
Why use a browser-based workout timer?
It's instant and free. There's nothing to install, it works on any phone, laptop, or gym TV with a browser, and it handles every common training format in one place. For coaches, it replaces a $150–$200 dedicated gym clock. For athletes at home, it's a no-clutter way to run a structured session without paying for an app.
And when you're ready to improve how you run the gym itself — memberships, scheduling, billing, check-ins — the same team builds PushPress gym management software. We'd love to chat.
Is the PushPress workout timer free?
Yes. The browser timer on this page is completely free with no account required. The mobile app is also free to download.
Do I need to download anything?
No. The timer runs in your web browser on any device. A free iOS and Android app is available if you want offline access and voice prompts.
Can I use it as a gym clock on a TV?
Yes. Open the timer on a device connected to a TV or monitor for a full-screen, high-contrast class clock. The display is built to be read from across a gym floor.
What workout formats does it support?
AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata, custom interval/HIIT, a plain countdown, and a count-up stopwatch.
What's the difference between AMRAP, EMOM, and Tabata?
AMRAP counts down from a set time while you complete as many rounds as possible. EMOM starts a new round at the top of every interval (usually each minute). Tabata is a fixed 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off pattern for eight rounds.
