PushPressvs Glofox
Glofox is built for boutique studios and multi-location brands, and says so. PushPress is built for independent gyms that run on classes: CrossFit, functional fitness, yoga and Pilates. This page lays out what each company publishes, what it doesn't, and exactly where Glofox is the better pick. Ours starts at $0.

The 60-second answer
Two honest paths, whether you're choosing your first platform or leaving one. Find yours and skip the rest of the page.
If any of these sound like your gym
If any of these sound like your gym
"I credit PushPress with my business growth. It has - hands down - been the catalyst that has moved me from the minor leagues of gym ownership to where I am now."
How do I switch from Glofox to PushPress?
The process takes about two weeks for Core and a month for Core + Grow. The biggest variable is when you want to start billing.
Payments switch over
Glofox has to export your members' stored cards in a format Stripe can import. That's the one step that depends on someone other than you or us, so we request it on day one. You end up on your own Stripe account.
Set up plans, classes and coaches
Membership plans, the class schedule, coach and staff accounts. You build your own plans here rather than picking from a fixed set, so your pricing and your rules end up matching how you actually run the gym.
Your members move over
You export from Glofox, we import. Members, contacts, memberships and attendance all go through the 3-step tool. You get a named onboarding lead, not a ticket queue.
Members download the app
One announcement, one link. Class bookings, memberships and payment schedules carry over, so nobody loses their spot in tomorrow's 6am.
What carries over, and what doesn't
The honest version. Three things genuinely don't make the trip, and they're listed here rather than buried in an onboarding call.
Is PushPress cheaper than Glofox?
Partly. Glofox's plans page says plans start at $99 a month, which is below our Pro plan at $159 and above our Free plan at $0. Past that one number, Glofox doesn't publish a price for any specific plan, or a processing rate.
Here is everything each company puts in public, side by side.
2.89% + $0.30 on Pro
2.75% + $0.30 on Max
Not on their billing feature page either
Ask for it in writing, by plan
If you pass a fee to your members, you keep it
Plenty of gyms pass some or all of their card cost on to members. On PushPress you set that number yourself, up to 10%, and every cent of it comes back to you. Put it toward the scholarship fund, new rowers, or just the cost of running payments.
Worth asking any platform you are evaluating the same question: if I pass a fee to my members, who actually keeps it?
How Flex Fees worksHow we compare: key differences
| PushPress | Glofox | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it's built for | Independent gyms that run on classes: CrossFit, functional fitness, martial arts, yoga and Pilates | Boutique studios and multi-location brands, in their own words. No CrossFit page among their business types. |
| Payment data portability | Card tokens leave with you | Not published. Ask before you sign. |
| Pricing transparency | Three plans, three card rates, two ACH rates and every add-on, all published | One number: "plans starting at $99 per month." Each plan's price is behind a request form. |
| Free tier | Core Free, no time limit | None. Plans start at $99/mo. |
| Workout tracking | Train Lite puts the daily WOD on your screens and in the app, free on every plan. Score logging and leaderboards are full Train, $79/mo. | Not in their feature list. Workout content can be embedded in the branded app via iFrame. |
| ACH processing | 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max | Not published |
| Card processing | 2.75% to 4.99% + $0.30 by plan | Not published |
| Member self-service | Members book, waitlist, and cancel classes, update a payment method, freeze or cancel a plan, add a family member, check attendance history, and check out of your store in kiosk mode on the same tablet they check in on. | Members book, pay, check in and manage their membership in the app, and submit cancellation requests through supported flows. |
| Equipment and spot booking | No resource booking. Classes cap by headcount, so members book a spot in class, not a specific bike, reformer or mat. Plenty of Pilates studio owners, reformer included, tell us that's fine. | Visual floor and bike maps, so members pick their exact spot. Glofox wins this. |
| 1-to-1 and PT programming | Train delivers individual client programming, a $79/mo add-on to Core | Appointment and PT scheduling. No programming tool listed. |
| How it's packaged | Core, Grow, and the Staff App are each their own product, and each stands on its own. The Staff App is included with every Core plan at no extra cost, with no per-user or per-coach fee. Grow is a $329/mo add-on. All of them sync to each other. | Four plans: Essential, Boost, Elite, Enterprise. E-Agreements, retail and online lead forms start on Boost. The branded app is an add-on below Elite. None of the plans or add-ons are priced. |
| Staff tools on the floor | A dedicated Staff App, included with every Core plan at no extra cost and no per-user or per-coach fee. Check members in one at a time or in bulk, pull daily rosters, see member notes and injury flags before class, adjust memberships, sell retail with Tap to Pay, run kiosk mode, and message the team in-app so coaches, owners and admins reach each other without a third-party tool. | A Glofox Pro staff app for live check-ins, class bookings and visit activity, plus trainer schedules, tasks and payroll in the platform. |
| The WOD on the gym TV | Train Lite on PushPress Screens, free on every plan | Not in their feature list |
| Marketing and CRM | Grow, $329/mo add-on | Online lead capture forms and targeted communications start on Boost. Automated sales engagement (ABC Xlerate) is an add-on below Elite. None of it is priced. |
| Multi-country and franchise tools | Priced per location, 17% off each additional site. Built for independent gyms, not franchise systems. | 17+ languages, multi-currency billing, royalty billing and roll-up reporting. Glofox wins this. |
| ClassPass | No integration today | Integrated. Glofox wins this. |
So which one should you actually pick?
If you've read this far, you already know we're not a neutral party. So here's the version we'd give you on the phone.
Glofox is a good product for the businesses it's built for. If members need to pick their exact bike or spot, if a lot of your revenue comes through ClassPass, or if you run locations in more than one country, it does things we don't, and you should take the demo. We don't win many of those conversations, and we shouldn't.
We win when you run on classes. A box that wants the WOD on the TV without buying a second tool. A yoga or Pilates studio that needs schedules, memberships and an app members actually use. And anyone who'd like to know what their software costs before handing over a phone number. That's the gym we're built for.
And if none of that sounds like your gym, stay where you are. Switching costs real hours. It should fix something specific.

Questions about switching from Glofox?
Is PushPress cheaper than Glofox?
Partly. Glofox's plans page says plans start at $99 a month, which is below our Pro plan at $159 and above our Free plan at $0. It doesn't say which plan that price applies to, and it doesn't publish a price for Essential, Boost or Elite, or any processing rate. PushPress publishes all of it: Free is $0, Pro is $159/mo and Max is $229/mo, with card rates of 4.99%, 2.89% and 2.75% + $0.30, and ACH at 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max. Get Glofox's quote in writing, by plan and including processing, and compare it line by line.
How much does Glofox cost per month?
Glofox's plans page says plans start at $99 per month. That's the only price it publishes. Its four plans, Essential, Boost, Elite and Enterprise, each show a feature list but no price, and the page's button is Request Pricing. Its pricing page asks for your business type, locations, name, email and phone before it shows a number. E-Agreements, retail products and online lead capture forms start on Boost, and the custom branded app is an add-on below Elite, so the $99 starting point may not be the plan your gym needs. Processing rates aren't published. Verified October 1, 2026.
Does Glofox work for CrossFit gyms?
Can I show the daily WOD on a TV with PushPress?
Whose Stripe account am I on with PushPress?
Is PushPress a good fit for yoga and Pilates studios?
Yes, reformer studios included. Class schedules, memberships, waitlists and the member app work the same way they do for any class-based gym. The one gap is resource booking: classes cap by headcount, so members can't reserve a specific reformer, bike or spot. Plenty of reformer studio owners tell us that's fine. If members picking their exact machine matters to you, Glofox's floor maps do that today.
How long does it take to switch from Glofox to PushPress?
Does PushPress integrate with ClassPass?
Is Glofox better for multi-location or international gyms?
Does PushPress have a free plan?
Yes. Core Free is $0 a month with no time limit, and card processing on it is 4.99% + $0.30. On Pro at $159/mo, cards drop to 2.89% + $0.30 and ACH to 0.79% + $0.30, so once you're billing steadily, run the math on both. Glofox doesn't list a free plan. Its plans start at $99 a month.
