TL;DR
Glofox publishes exactly one price: "plans starting at $99 per month." It doesn't say which plan that is. Its four plans (Essential, Boost, Elite and Enterprise) each list features but no price, and getting one means handing over your name, email and phone. Digital agreements, retail and online lead forms start on Boost. The branded app is an add-on below Elite. Processing rates aren't published anywhere. PushPress publishes every plan, rate and add-on.
$99 a month is the price of a gym that doesn't take waivers, sell a shirt or collect a lead from its website.
That's not our read of Glofox's pricing. It's Glofox's. Their plans page puts one number in small caps above the headline, plans starting at $99 per month, and then lists four plans with features and no prices. Digital agreements, retail and online lead forms all sit on the second plan, Boost. Boost doesn't have a price. To get one, you fill out a form with your business type, your locations, your name, your email and your phone number.
If you're opening a studio or shopping for a box, here's the problem with that. The number you can see is the number you probably won't pay, and the number you'll actually pay shows up after a sales call, sometimes after you've already pictured your gym on the platform.
The same page lists "transparent pricing" as a reason to choose Glofox: "No hidden fees so you know exactly what you're paying for." We'll take the "no hidden fees" part at their word. Knowing exactly what you're paying for, from that page, isn't possible.
Quick comparison at a glance
Everything here comes from each company's public pages, verified October 1, 2026.
| PushPress | Glofox | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Core Free, $0/mo | "Plans starting at $99 per month"plan not named |
| Mid plan | Core Pro, $159/mo | Boost, price not published |
| Top plan | Core Max, $229/mo | Elite, price not published |
| Multi-location / franchise | Per location, 17% off each additional site | Enterprise, "contact us" |
| Card processing | 4.99% / 2.89% / 2.75% + $0.30, by plan | Not published |
| ACH processing | 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max | Not published |
| Digital waivers | Included on every plan | E-Agreements start on Boost |
| Branded app | $97/mo add-on | Add-on on Essential and Boost, included on Elite, price not published |
| Free plan | Yes | No |
| To see a price | Visit the pricing page | Name, email and phone |
Two things in that table cut Glofox's way, and it's only fair to say so. Glofox's $99 starting price is lower than our Pro plan at $159. And Glofox's entry plan includes a staff app and payroll, which is more than a lot of entry tiers give you.
What is Glofox?
Glofox is a studio platform first, and it's good at being one. It's now ABC Glofox, since ABC Fitness acquired it in 2022, and it's built for boutique studios and multi-location fitness brands. It covers scheduling, memberships, billing, a branded member app, CRM and marketing, reporting, access control and staff management. It claims more than 30,000 studios and gyms, and it's strong on things we aren't: 17+ languages, multi-currency billing, franchise tools like royalty billing, a ClassPass integration, and floor and bike maps so members can pick their exact spot.
It's a serious product. It's also, by its own description, built around boutique studio formats. Its business-type pages cover gyms, yoga, Pilates, cycling, boxing, martial arts and more. CrossFit isn't one of them.
What is PushPress?
PushPress is built for the owner who coaches the 6am class and does the books after. It's gym management software for independent gyms that run on classes: CrossFit and functional fitness boxes, martial arts academies, and yoga and Pilates studios. It was started by gym owners, and the pricing reflects a belief that a gym that isn't making money yet shouldn't be paying for software.
Core Free is $0 a month with unlimited members and staff. You pay a higher processing rate in exchange, and you move up to Core Pro at $159 or Core Max at $229 when the lower rates save you more than the plan costs. Add-ons are priced on the same page: Train for workout programming at $79, Grow for CRM, lead gen and your website at $329, and the Branded App at $97. The daily WOD on your gym TV and in the member app comes free with every Core plan through Train Lite.
What does Glofox actually cost?
Here's what the plans page tells you, plan by plan, as of October 1, 2026.
Essential. "Core tools to launch and run your fitness business." Booking and scheduling, member management, payment processing, payroll, reporting and analytics, the ABC Glofox member app for iOS and Android, and the ABC Glofox Staff App. Optional add-ons: automated sales engagement (ABC Xlerate), a custom branded member app, and multi-location analytics (ABC Insights).
Boost. Everything in Essential, plus online lead capture forms, advanced reporting, store and retail products, E-Agreements, community content, targeted communications and task management. Same three optional add-ons.
Elite. Everything in Boost, plus advanced app localization and bulk multi-location configuration. ABC Xlerate and the custom branded member app are included. Multi-location analytics is still an add-on.
Enterprise. For growing fitness brands. Contact them.
None of those four has a price. The page doesn't say which plan the $99 belongs to. "Starting at" usually means the cheapest plan, so Essential is the reasonable guess, but that's a guess, and it's worth confirming on the call.
Run your first week on the $99 plan
Say you're opening a mat Pilates studio next month with 40 founding members. Assume the $99 is Essential, since "starting at" usually means the cheapest plan (confirm that on the call). Here's your first week, checked against Glofox's own plan list:
- Monday, first class. Every new member needs a signed waiver before they're on the mat. E-Agreements start on Boost.
- Tuesday, the front desk. Someone wants to buy grip socks and a water bottle on the way out. Store and retail products start on Boost.
- Wednesday, your website. A neighbor fills out the "book your free intro" form. Online lead capture forms start on Boost. So do targeted communications for following up.
- Thursday, the app. Members download the app and see Glofox's name, not yours. The custom branded app is an add-on below Elite, and it doesn't have a published price either.
By Wednesday you're on Boost. Boost doesn't have a price on the page. Neither does the branded app.
This isn't a trick, and it doesn't make Glofox a bad product. Most software has a starting tier that's thinner than what a working business needs. The difference is whether you can see the next number before you sign. Glofox's own buying guide says it better than we can: "Hidden fees for key features like branded apps, text messaging, or reports can push your actual cost way past the initial quote." Take that advice to their demo.
The rate that matters most isn't on the page at all
Here's the part of the bill nobody quotes you up front. Your plan is a flat number you'll see every month. Processing is a percentage of every dollar your members pay you, so it grows with your gym.
Across PushPress gyms billing $5,000 or more a month, about 91% of payment volume runs on cards (August 2026). So your card rate, not your plan price, is likely your biggest software-related cost.
Glofox doesn't publish its card rate. Not on the plans page, not on the pricing page, not on its billing feature page. That means the single largest line item in your payments setup can't be compared until you're on a call.
Here's ours, in full:
| Plan | Monthly | Card rate | ACH rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core Free | $0 | 4.99% + $0.30 | 2.89% + $0.30 |
| Core Pro | $159 | 2.89% + $0.30 | 0.79% + $0.30 |
| Core Max | $229 | 2.75% + $0.30 | 0.79% + $0.30 |
| Train Add-on | $79 | — | — |
| Grow Add-on | $329 | — | — |
| Branded App Add-on | $97 | — | — |
Grow carries a one-time $699 setup fee. Core plans have no setup fee. Everything is month to month.
We're not going to tell you our rate is lower than Glofox's, because we don't know their rate and neither do you yet. What we can tell you is what to ask for, so you can put the two side by side.
What to ask Glofox before you sign
Take this list into the demo and ask for the answers in writing:
- Which plan is the $99? And what does it cost per location if you have more than one?
- What's the price of the plan I actually need? If you need waivers, retail or lead forms, that's Boost at minimum.
- What does the branded app cost on that plan, and is there a setup or publishing fee?
- What's my card rate and my ACH rate, on that plan, for my volume? Get both as a percentage plus a per-transaction fee.
- Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
- What's the contract length, and what happens if I want to leave early?
- If I leave, how do my members' stored cards come with me? Glofox's own guide tells you to ask any provider how member records and payment info move, and what the limits are. Ask them.
If the quote comes back clean on all seven, you've got a real number to put next to ours. If it doesn't, you've learned something before you signed, which is the cheapest time to learn it.
Where Glofox is the better choice
Three cases, and we mean them.
- Your members need to pick their exact bike or spot. Glofox has visual floor and bike maps. PushPress doesn't have resource booking. Classes cap by headcount, so members book a spot in class, not a specific bike or reformer. Plenty of Pilates studio owners tell us that's fine. For a cycling studio where the bike is the booking, it's probably not.
- ClassPass is a real share of your revenue. Glofox integrates with ClassPass. PushPress doesn't today.
- You run locations in more than one country, or a franchise. 17+ languages, multi-currency billing and royalty billing are Glofox strengths we don't match.
Where PushPress is the better choice
If you're the one writing the WOD on the whiteboard, opening the studio at 5:30, or answering billing texts from the parking lot, this part is for you.
- You run a box. Glofox's own software roundup says CrossFit and functional fitness gyms are served by PushPress and Gymdesk. WOD and score tracking aren't in Glofox's feature list. On PushPress, the daily workout shows on your gym TV and in the member app for free, and full tracking with leaderboards is Train at $79.
- You run a yoga or Pilates studio on classes. Schedules, memberships, waitlists, waivers and an app members actually open, on a plan you can price yourself.
- You want to know the number first. Every plan, rate and add-on is on our pricing page. Nobody needs your phone number to show it to you.
If you're switching from Glofox
The step that depends on someone other than you or us is your members' stored cards. Glofox has to export them in a format Stripe can import, so we request that on day one and get it moving before anything else. You end up on your own Stripe account, with your name on it and your real rates visible, and if you ever leave us, the tokens go with you.
The rest is about two weeks for Core at a gym with 50 to 200 members: plans and classes, then member import, then go-live. The biggest variable is when you want to start billing.
Robert Schwartz moved All Fit Orlando off Glofox and tracked what changed. Revenue up 800%, membership doubled, monthly leads from two or three to over 100. He credits Core, Train, Grow and a lead-gen partner, not the switch alone, and his full story is here.
The verdict
The $99 is real. It's just not your price. The plan most gyms need starts at Boost, and the rate that will cost you the most, cards, isn't published at all. Both of those show up on a sales call, and the call is where Glofox's pricing actually lives.
If you're already on Glofox and you know your numbers, good. Keep them, and use them to check us.
If you're choosing now, do it in this order. Price PushPress from the public page, which takes about two minutes. Then get Glofox's quote in writing, using the seven questions above. Put them side by side. Whichever one you pick, you'll know what you're paying before the first invoice tells you.

FAQ
How much does Glofox cost per month?
Glofox's plans page says plans start at $99 per month. That's the only price it publishes. Its four plans, Essential, Boost, Elite and Enterprise, each list features but no price, and the page's button is Request Pricing. The page doesn't say which plan the $99 applies to. E-Agreements, retail products and online lead capture forms start on Boost, and the custom branded member app is an add-on below Elite, so most gyms will need a plan above the starting price. Processing rates aren't published. Verified October 1, 2026.
Is Glofox cheaper than PushPress?
At the entry point, it depends which plans you compare. Glofox's starting price of $99 a month is lower than PushPress Core Pro at $159 and higher than PushPress Core Free at $0. Past that, Glofox doesn't publish a price for Boost, Elite or Enterprise, or any card or ACH processing rate, so a full comparison needs a written quote. PushPress publishes all of it: Core Free $0, Core Pro $159 and Core Max $229 per month, with card rates of 4.99%, 2.89% and 2.75% + $0.30 and ACH at 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max.
What are Glofox's processing fees?
Glofox doesn't publish its processing rates on its plans page, pricing page or billing feature page. Cards carry about 91% of payment volume at PushPress gyms billing $5,000 or more a month, so the card rate is usually a gym's largest payments cost. Ask Glofox for your card and ACH rates in writing, on the specific plan you'd buy, as a percentage plus a per-transaction fee.
Does Glofox have a free plan?
No. Glofox doesn't list a free plan, and its plans start at $99 a month. PushPress Core Free is $0 a month with unlimited members and staff and no setup fee, with card processing at 4.99% + $0.30. On Core Pro at $159 a month, cards drop to 2.89% + $0.30 and ACH to 0.79% + $0.30.
Is the Glofox branded app included?
Only on Elite. On Glofox's Essential and Boost plans, the custom branded member app is listed as an optional add-on with no published price. It's included on Elite, which also has no published price. Every Glofox plan includes the standard ABC Glofox member app for iOS and Android. PushPress's Branded App is a $97 a month add-on, and the standard PushPress member app is included on every plan.
