Timer App - Fixing the iPhone Auto Lock

It’s been reported to us that one huge flaw in the Timer app is that iOS devices will auto-lock by default after a short period of time. When you’re carrying your phone in your pocket, that’s a good thing. When you’re 5 minutes into 14.1 and the screen goes blank - THAT SUCKS.We’ve scrambled to push an update to the Timer that will fix this. Once the update is approved by the App Store, the iOS device will no longer auto-lock while the timer is running. In the meantime, if you want a workaround, you can set your device NOT to auto-lock by doing the following:

  1. Go to your iOS Device Settings (not the Timer App settings).
  2. Click General Settings
  3. Choose “Auto-Lock”
  4. Change to Never.

The downside to this is it will no longer auto lock. So if you want to have your phone auto-locking make sure to enable it it after your workout is done. Thanks to everyone with the feedback on the Timer. More to come soon!
